GOD CALLS US

God calls us through the knowledge of his word, the Bible, not to soft beds of ease and material blessings, but to the work of Christ , who lived here having no place to lay his head. (Matthew 8:20); not to earthly peace and tranquility, but to fight the good fight of faith. (1 Timothy 6:12); not to praises of man, but to the jeers of unbelieving people who “utter all kinds of evil against you falsely” because we do what He says. (Matthew 5:11)

The unrealistic expectations taught by most teachers and preachers do not prepare people to understand, to enter, or to live the life of a follower of Christ. Christ encouraged the great crowd that followed Him to “count the cost,” (Luke 14:25-33) because He knew that if one were not ready to recognize and pay that cost, he would never be able to live that life.

Many religionists today think it is enough to have a great following, Christ wants to have great followers!
