La iglesia del Se\u00f1or ha sido desafiado por este peligro durante la mayor parte de los siglos de su existencia. The Lord’s church has been challenged by this danger during most of the centuries of its existence. It was only a few hundred years from the beginning of the church on the day of Pentecost with about three thousand people in Jerusalem, until the establishment of a religious organization that called itself the church, but persecuted all who would dare to follow Christ.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Muchas veces, las personas no reconocen los cambios hasta que sea demasiado tarde. Una congregaci\u00f3n local puede comenzar con dedicaci\u00f3n a la ense\u00f1anza y pr\u00e1ctica del Nuevo Testamento, y con convicci\u00f3n y compromiso al mandato de Cristo de ir y ense\u00f1ar la palabra, y poco a poco llegar a ser cada vez menos un grupo dedicado a Cristo que se preocupa por la gente y m\u00e1s y m\u00e1s una organizaci\u00f3n que se protege y promueve a s\u00ed misma y sus propios intereses.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Many times, people fail to recognize the changes until it is too late. A local congregation can begin with a dedication to New Testament teaching and practice, and with conviction, and commitment to Christ’s command to go and teach the word, and gradually become less and less a group dedicated to Christ that cares for people and more and more an organization that protects and promotes itself and its own interests.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00bfC\u00f3mo y por qu\u00e9 ocurre esto, c\u00f3mo podemos detectar estos cambios, y que debe hacerse al respecto? Estas son preguntas importantes que deben ser exploradas y que requieren respuestas. La primera lecci\u00f3n importante proviene de lo que la Biblia dice acerca de la naturaleza de la iglesia. Pablo nos dio esta lecci\u00f3n por inspiraci\u00f3n del Esp\u00edritu de Dios en 1 Corintios 12:12-27:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

How and why does this occur, how can we detect such changes, and what must be done about them?<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

These are important questions that must be explored and answers must be given. The first important lesson comes from what the Bible says about the nature of the church. Paul gave us this lesson by inspiration of the the Spirit of God in 1 Corinthians 12:12-27:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

12 Porque as\u00ed como el cuerpo es uno, y tiene muchos miembros, pero todos los miembros del cuerpo, siendo muchos, son un solo cuerpo, as\u00ed tambi\u00e9n Cristo. 13 Porque por un solo Esp\u00edritu fuimos todos bautizados en un cuerpo, sean jud\u00edos o griegos, sean esclavos o libres; y a todos se nos dio a beber de un mismo Esp\u00edritu. 14 Adem\u00e1s, el cuerpo no es un solo miembro, sino muchos. 15 Si dijere el pie: Porque no soy mano, no soy del cuerpo, \u00bfpor eso no ser\u00e1 del cuerpo? 16 Y si dijere la oreja: Porque no soy ojo, no soy del cuerpo, \u00bfpor eso no ser\u00e1 del cuerpo? 17 Si todo el cuerpo fuese ojo, \u00bfd\u00f3nde estar\u00eda el o\u00eddo? Si todo fuese o\u00eddo, \u00bfd\u00f3nde estar\u00eda el olfato? 18 Mas ahora Dios ha colocado los miembros cada uno de ellos en el cuerpo, como \u00e9l quiso. 19 Porque si todos fueran un solo miembro, \u00bfd\u00f3nde estar\u00eda el cuerpo? <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

20 Pero ahora son muchos los miembros, pero el cuerpo es uno solo. 21 Ni el ojo puede decir a la mano: No te necesito, ni tampoco la cabeza a los pies: No tengo necesidad de vosotros. 22 Antes bien los miembros del cuerpo que parecen m\u00e1s d\u00e9biles, son los m\u00e1s necesarios; 23 y a aquellos del cuerpo que nos parecen menos dignos, a \u00e9stos vestimos m\u00e1s dignamente; y los que en nosotros son menos decorosos, se tratan con m\u00e1s decoro. <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

24 Porque los que en nosotros son m\u00e1s decorosos, no tienen necesidad; pero Dios orden\u00f3 el cuerpo, dando m\u00e1s abundante honor al que le faltaba, 25 para que no haya desavenencia en el cuerpo, sino que los miembros todos se preocupen los unos por los otros. 26 De manera que si un miembro padece, todos los miembros se duelen con \u00e9l, y si un miembro recibe honra, todos los miembros con \u00e9l se gozan. 27 Vosotros, pues, sois el cuerpo de Cristo, y miembros cada uno en particular.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

12 For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body–Jews or Greeks, slaves or free–and all were made to drink of one Spirit. 14 For the body does not consist of one member but of many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? 18 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. 19 If all were a single member, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, yet one body. 21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, 24 which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. 27 Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
